Richard Evans (born 7 September 1953) is a former Australian politician, who served as a Liberal Party of Australia member in the Australian House of Representatives. He was the member for Cowan from 1993 to 1998.〔 Since his parliamentary service he has led peak industry bodies and authored various books on business. He was CEO of the Franchise Council of Australia until October 2007, Executive Director of the Australian Retailers Association until July 2009, Executive Director of Clubs Victoria and Council Textile and Fashion industries until 2014. He is the founder of Profit Ability and provides advice to peak industry bodies. As a writer Richard Evans has published the ''Australian Franchising Handbook'' (Wiley, 2006); ''7 Myths of Management'', ''Profit from your Creativity'', ''Every Day is a Holiday'' and ''E Factor - 4 E's to boost your day''.
